Alms
Written for an Heir
Relief is given to a weary soul,
Buoyed up is a dispirited heart,
Filled without pause is a beggar’s cup ...
A friend extends brotherhood’s sacred hand.
The work of Heaven is made manifest
In the hearts and hands of those who serve:
Of such Heaven shall truly declare,
“Thou art chosen, an Heir of the Father.”
